There were plenty of events across Central Illinois this weekend, but the most action-packed location had to be downtown Springfield.

The Old State Capitol grounds hosted the 57th annual edition of the Springfield Old Capitol Art Fair, with more than 170 booths where artists from all over the country presented works across every imaginable media.

The art fair was held on Saturday and Sunday, and on Saturday there was also the 9th annual SpringField PrideFest – which was technically a couple of blocks away, but the two events blended together nicely, thanks in part to food and trinket vendors that enticed you to walk around and made the whole thing feel like a smaller, more progressive version of the State Fair.
