Urbanalove Screening of Hocus Pocus

Event Details

The Urbana Arts and Culture Program and The Urbana Free Library together with The Art Theater, First Federal Savings Bank of Champaign-Urbana, and the Urbana Park District are proud to present a fall Urbanalove Outdoor Film Screening of fan favorite, Hocus Pocus!

Gather in Cherry Alley (parking lot side of the library) at 5 pm for fun and games for the whole family including a pop-up photo booth, pumpkin decorating, costume contest, and more! Plus cider and the Champaign County History Museum’s historic popcorn truck! Bring your costumes and your picnic blankets/chairs and get ready for a night to remember! The film screens at 6 pm! (If inclement weather, we’ll be indoors in the Lewis Auditorium.)

ABOUT THE FILM: (Rated PG; Running time 1hr 36min)
After moving to Salem, Mass., teenager Max Dennison (Omri Katz) explores an abandoned house with his sister Dani (Thora Birch) and their new friend, Allison (Vinessa Shaw). After dismissing a story Allison tells as superstitious, Max accidentally frees a coven of evil witches (Bette Midler, Sarah Jessica Parker, Kathy Najimy) who used to live in the house. Now, with the help of a magical cat, the kids must steal the witches’ book of spells to stop them from becoming immortal.

It’s just a bunch of hocus pocus and we can’t wait!
