Peoria’s second annual Big Picture Film Festival is a two-day event that celebrates local, national, and international filmmakers of all ages. The event is part of the Big Picture Initiative, which aims to highlight Peoria’s artistic potential through art education and festivals.
Friday, Oct. 11
- 5 pm – 9 pm: Film festival on West Main Street for general public and filmmakers
- 9 pm – midnight: After party at Broken Tree
Saturday, Oct. 12
- 11 am – 5 pm: Street festival on Adams Street
- 7 pm – 9:30 pm: Film festival and Awards Ceremony at the Peoria Riverfront museum
For the Friday night film viewings, meet at Broken Tree to get tickets and a program for the night. Tickets are a recommended $10 donation. Film viewings will occur at four main locations along West Main Street, including Lit on Fire and Studios on Sheridan. Here are a couple of the films that will be screened:
The winning films for each category will be recognized on Saturday night at the awards ceremony. Tickets are a recommended $5 donation for the evening.
